Remove the Label – “This site may harm your computer”

To make users feel safe when they search web, Google continuously working to identify dangerous sites and increase protection for their users. This warning message appears with search results which they identified as sites that may install malicious software on your computer:

Even after you click this, Google won’t take you to the actual page. It will take you to the second page to confirm whether you are still interested to open the page. Below is the screenshot of the page.

This will reduce tremendously the number of visitors from search engines. Have you ever experienced with this issue? If yes, this post may help you to remove the label.
Once Google identified that your website listed under dangerous sites, they will mail the webmasters of the affected sites at the following email addresses for the website,

* abuse@
* admin@
* administrator@
* contact@
* info@
* postmaster@
* support@
* webmaster@

Once we know our website got affected, we need to do the following procedures to remove the label from SERP.
The dangerous pages are classified into two types, phishing pages and malware pages.

Phishing

Phishing, or spoofing, is a type of attack in which a page asks you for your personal or financial information under false pretenses. To learn more about phishing, visit Antiphishing.org.

If you believe that Google were included a page on the list that is not a phishing page, please send Google a phishing error report. You can also let Google know about a phishing page if you find one that they have missed.

Malware

Malware is a type of software that attempts to steal your personal information or use your computer to do things that you do not intend. Malware pages are web pages containing malicious code that could be downloaded and installed on your computer without your consent. You can learn more about harmful web content including viruses and other malicious software at StopBadware.org.
To remove the malware present in your website Click Here. After removing the badware present in the website you can ask them to review your website here.

Once you have reviewed your site and are sure it is clean, you can submit a request for review in Google Webmaster Tools. Note that you’ll need to verify site ownership before you can request a site review.

1. Sign in to Webmaster Tools with your Google account.
2. On the Dashboard, select the site you want.
3. On the Overview page, click Request a review and follow the instructions.

There is always a chance that a safe site could be misidentified as risky, in this case we can directly submit the website for review.

    Very Good Post. Even though i knew that google displays that label in SERP’s I am unaware of the methods to remove if my own site affected with such problems. Good write Up! Keep it Up!!!

    err… that warning is frustrating.
    i dont have a site or blog that has the warning, but i was googling, when all my results turned up with that message, and i literally am a magnet for those types of adwares or spyware, i’ve completely killed my laptop, so the whole warning google gives you with proceed “at your own risk” kinda scared me from visiting that website.

    Like Facebook and Imdb, and sites i use all the time have that warning?? Is something just wrong with my searches? or..?
    Even the link to this page had the warning… =/
