Design and content guidelines to make website SE friendly

* Design the site with clear hierarchy and text links. It will be fine if all the pages are reachable from at least one static text link.

* Use ‘text’ instead of ‘images’ to display important names, content, or links. Search engines doesn’t recognize text contained in images.

Design Guidelines

* Use optimized images which helps to load the pages fastly.

* Avoid using mapping concept for giving hyperlink for the various parts of a single image.

* While using java script, try to call them from external instead of using in current file.

* Make your website as useful and information-rich site. Produce quality content.

* Dont exceed the internel links count more than 100 from a single page.

* Make sure that your “title” attribute for links and “alt” attributes for images are descriptive and accurate.

* Check and rectify if any broken links present in your website.

* Use words which users would type to find your pages. And also make sure that your site actually includes those words within it.

* If you use dynamic pages, then you will be missing the weightage of the keywords in file names.

* Offer a website site map to make visitors to feel easy while browsing your website.

* If you can validate your website HTML and CSS then it will be better.

* Avoid hidden text or hidden links.

* Don’t create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.

* Use hyphens in file names to separate words.

* Don’t load pages with irrelevant keywords.

* Test your site to make sure that it appears correctly in different browsers.

Make pages for users, not for search engines. Satisfy your visitors with your worth full content and amazing design, automatically your website will be search engine friendly.

    Zack, I appreciate your interest to get ranking in Live.

    With my experience i can tell live is giving more weightage to the follwing points.

    1) Meta tags
    2) H1, H2 tags
    3) Back Links (Not much good algo to detect reciprocal links)
