10 Architecture Tips to Increase Website Usability

This article may help people who interested in re-designing their website for increasing the usability. Following are the points that we have to keep in mind while designing the website.

1. Have a standard logo and caption for you. Spread those things throughout the website.
2. Classify the pages in hierarchy order. Prepare a sitemap with categories, sub categories and separate pages.
3. Make the important pages as transparency links. Have main pages links in header, so that it will present in all the pages.
4. Make sure that all the pages are reachable in two to three clicks. This will help users and search engines to reach the pages quickly.
5. Have attractive, unique and pleasing content. Make sure that your content should not be over optimized with keywords. Also don’t be hype while explaining your services.
6. Use Bread Crumb navigation. This will make users to feel easy about where they are and their path in the website.
7. Have a search box which helps users to find if they could not find anything through just navigation.
8. You may have some conversion pages in website. For example, “Buy Now” page will be the conversion page for ecommerce websites. Make sure that the “Buy Now” link present under all the products and pages. In other words, just increase the visibility of the “Buy now” link in the website.
9. Integrate a blog to your website. Discuss some interesting things there which will make visitors to interact in blog. Also Website crawl frequency will increase due the content updation in blog.
10. If you can, show your achievements like client testimonials, proven records, and case studies etc. This will create a good opinion about you among visitors.
